The facts behind our work in the English Channel. When our Dover RNLI lifeboat crew were tasked to help a small boat in trouble in the Channel, they arrived to find it had capsized. People were struggling to survive in the freezing water, screaming and pleading for aid. But tragically, others were face down in the water, no longer calling for help. In this life and death situation, our incredible ...

Visitors consistently praise Falmouth Lifeboat Station tours for their engaging and informative nature, especially for families. The opportunity to go aboard a lifeboat and hear inspiring stories from dedicated volunteers makes it a standout experience. While tours are highly recommended, booking in advance is crucial. Reddit

"We had the most amazing visit at Falmouth lifeboat station - made our grandson's day thanks to Yvonne's ability to engage our family's 3 generations that visited today - our 5 year-old got to be fully involved wearing the gear and helmet, learning how to raise the alarm and even better go on the boat and be navigator for the day. The rest of us were equally enthralled to learn about the volunteers and amazing work of the service that risks their lives for us. This is certainly not the first lifeboat station we have visited but was by far and away the best.Thank you Yvonne for making it better than Pendenis castle with jousting. (Which was great too.)"

"This is a must-go in Falmouth.
We booked this tour earlier through emailing their station and got a reply promptly. The tour was around 45 minutes and Yvonne showed us around and talked about RNLI’s history and missions. We even got the chance to go on board the lifeboats and took some nice photos. We learnt much more about the organisation and its operation. The sacrifices of these lifesaving heroes are truly admirable. RNLI wouldn’t be making such a big impact without volunteers like Yvonne.
Thank you once again for this amazing experience!"

"Enjoyed the tour around the boat today to say farewell after 23 years of service. Thank you to Ruth for your very informative information."
