Reviews Summary

Fossil Grove is a unique historical site with fascinating prehistoric tree stumps, offering a free glimpse into ancient life within Victoria Park. While appreciated for its natural wonder, visitors lament its limited seasonal opening hours, lack of amenities, and the need for better maintenance and promotion by the city council.

"Some of the fossilized remains of those ancient forests can be found in the Fossil Grove which is located within Glasgow’s Victoria Park (located in the Whiteinch area of the city).

No wait required as this is part of the public park, no entrance fee either. Can easily spend about an hour here or more."

"Its a fantastic location it should be promoted more and open 7 days a week. Instead its only open Sat - Sunday. its been getting run down since the computer was damaged and parks dept have not repaired the computer generated program.

Its still worth a visit but could be better improved what needs is gift shop and more care from local city council to promote this unique historical site. added couple images let you see."

Tommy Butler

"Closed but no info about that on their website site, which hasn’t had event/open info in a whole year, since Aug 2024. Come on people."
