"I spent a very enjoyable afternoon at RSPB Fowlmere, friends had told me about it previously.
Very impressed with numerous trails, a picnic area, toilet facilities and a small visitor centre. I particularly liked the various hides around the reserve, for viewing / photographing the wildlife.
I saw Marsh Harriers, water rail, juvenile Moorhens, long tailed tit's and heard many more. In the river (Shep) I saw brown trout and crayfish.
Definitely worth a visit for a peaceful and tranquil experience."

"OK, lots of Fauna and good level walkways, but on this occasion no birds, also the mere was drained of water, will have to revisit. Toilets very basic and no other amenities, ok for a walk and getting out doors."

"Fantastic place to visit. Limited parking up to about 30 cars. 3 bird hides and a lovely flowing chalk stream.. Great for birding and wildlife photograph. Rspb members parting is free put your Rspb membership card on display and non members i think its around Β£2. 00 to park. No dogs are permitted unless guide dog. Flat pathways ok for wheelchair. Will definitely be going back."
