Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise Glasgow City Chambers for its breathtaking Victorian architecture and the impressive Grand Staircase, often calling it a hidden gem. While tours are free and highly recommended for their historical insights, some find the guides' strong accents challenging. Access to certain areas can also be limited due to ongoing council business.

"Free tours are available weekdays 10:30 and 14:30, any it works as first come first serve basis, starting to give out visitor cards 30 minutes before the appointments. You can walk around the ground floor without the guided tour too which is already spectacular, but I highly recommend to join the tour - even though the guide's Scottish accent was so strong I just gave up listening after a while 😅. But it's my fault, the building is like Hogwarts indeed."

Viktor Lakatos

Peter Ling

"Beautiful building inside and out. Do not miss it if walking by."
