The surrounding Helix Park is praised for its family-friendly amenities, including an excellent adventure playground and accessible walking paths. While the park itself is free to explore, some visitors note a charge for the main car park and paid tours inside the sculptures.
"Great park with really nice cafe and visitors centre with really helpful and friendly staff. Great coffee and food. Park was very well kept and litter free. You can’t take photos and extend your visit by walking or cycling along the canal to the Falkirk Wheel."

"We visited in October and lucked out with smaller crowds—perfect for a peaceful wander! The first car park was full (clearly, we weren’t the only ones with a good idea), so we cruised a bit further in and found a spot at the second car park. Parking was just £3.50, and super easy to pay by card right at the entrance with a friendly attendant on hand.
From there, it’s a quick 5-minute stroll to the main stars of the show—the Kelpies! These towering horse-head statues are absolutely breathtaking—majestic, magical, and totally photo-worthy. If you’re up for a wander, there are a few walking routes nearby to stretch your legs and soak in the scenery. A lovely day out all around!"

"In the Helix park there are various walks (all flat, some in amongst wetlands), a large lake with a selection of water-based activities, play park and plenty of amenities.
We visited the Kelpies sculptures which are very impressive, though we were too late to actually go inside them. Stunning! They start to light up as the daylight fades.
There is a canal side walk all the way to the Falkirk Wheel"
