"Really good walks, long and short. Parking is a rip off but no other option so what can you do 🤷🏻♂️"

"An excellent variety of forest walks, with mostly good footing. Ours was a little under five miles, following the Grizedale Tarn Trail. We did not see a tarn, but we assume this was because it was hidden behind trees. There is an extensive selection of forest-themed sculptures that you pass on some of the walks. There is the scent of pine forests and, if you cone at an off peak time, the chance of peace and quiet. There is a large car park where you pay on exit and are charged 65p for every 15 minutes after the first hour. We paid a bit over £9. The machine is at the top of the car park area, which is frankly another hike up the hill after the one you thought you'd finished. You can drive up the car park to get near to the machine."

"The visitor centre has a variety of shops and a wonderful play area for kids. The forest is great for mountain bikers and walkers and caterers to all abilities."
