"Now called Tabitha Twitchets Bookshop, though unsure if this is just a temporary arrangement? Within still contains many displays relevant to the life and works of Beatrix Potter, but with a large bookshop element as well. All housed within a delightfully Olde worlde interior that is as much part of the attraction as the exhibits it contains.
If you are in Haweshead with an idle hour to spare, this will be worth your time to take a look."

"From Hilltop, we walked three miles, but the museum is closed. But it was good to see the site in the picture book in person. This is Potter's husband's lawyer's office. Wordsworth's Grammar School, where he attended from age 9 to 17, and the church can be seen from the bus stop. Toilets here are clean and card-accessible, although there is a charge. There is a lovely shop and pub, reachable by the 505 bus."
