"Well this is a piece of Halifax history obviously they have let it go to junkies n drunks which is a shame this place should be looked after maybe used on them who have vandalised it but it took me ages to find it the first time but now it’s easy to find but the history behind it plus the running man pub there’s a good story not sure if it’s been made into a film but would be nice restored."

The base is original and was discovered in the 1800s but the wooden device itself is a reconstruction. There’s also a very helpful information board. Worth a visit if you’re passing and interested in the history. Great for a photo opportunity with your head in the block!"
