What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about Wildwood Trust for its immersive woodland setting and unique animal viewing experiences, particularly the treetop walkways and close encounters with wolves and bears. The conservation focus and spacious enclosures are highly appreciated, making it a top recommendation for families and nature lovers alike. Some minor points of feedback include the limited shop offerings and the unpredictability of animal sightings during evening visits.
"This was our first time coming here as we happened to be in the area for something else. We wanted to see the new introduction of Bison in the UK and this is where they are. Loved the wooden treetops walking routes to look down on the arctic foxes and the rope bridge for looking at the bears. Other pathways were really nice to walk around and we were surprised at how close we could get to the animals compared to some zoos - even the wolves! Lots of animals and birds to see. It was nice to go into some of the enclosures to see some of the animals in their hides too (beavers, rats, badger). Only the cafe was open when we went but we did see enroute following the pathway they do have a small pop-up snack and ice-cream hut which I imagine opens during peak seasons. The shop was mainly soft toys and only a small area for pocket money items. It would have been nice to see some seasonal posters/postcards/prints of the animals that are in the Wildwood Trust. A great place to come to for all ages!"

"Absolutely one of the best parts of our holiday to Kent! Wildwood Trust is easily at the top of our recommendations for a family day out if you love animals. The enclosures are great sizes and the added bonus of the walkways/bridges is so brilliantly thought out. The children's play area could make an adult feel jealous! If we're ever down south again we'll 100% be back
Also just a shout out for how clean and well equipped the disabled/baby change facility was!"

"It was lovely here. Peaceful and the animals are well looked after. We went for the evening sessions 6-9pm. The only downside was because it was late, some animals had gone in for the evening. But other than that. It was nice."
