Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the Holkham Walled Garden for its stunning beauty, diverse planting, and historical features. The friendly and knowledgeable staff, particularly Ken, are frequently highlighted for enhancing the visitor experience. While admission fees are noted, many find the extensive grounds and unique attractions well worth the cost.
"We went to the walled garden on a weekday at the beginning of October. We parked by holkham hall and walked through the lovely grounds to the walled garden. When we got to the walled garden entrance we were greeted by Ken (I’m sure that’s what his name said on his tag). Ken (I’m going with it) was amazing! He fussed our dog which made us feel so welcomed with him, and then he talked us though the grounds and all the different areas, showing us on the map on the wall in the cabin. He mentioned the allotment area to which is of interest to us as we like growing veg which then started off a conversation about allotments, growing and gardening. We could have stood there all day talking to him!
When we got into the grounds, even though it wasn’t really peak season for plants the gardens were absolutely stunning. Each area different then the one before. We also saw some school children being guided round and taught about what was growing in the allotment (we did stand nearby to get a cheeky little bit of info) I think he is also a chef on the grounds but I could be wrong. A particular bit I loved was the dahlia area and this has inspired me to replace my little veg patch in the garden with Dalia’s for cut flowers. They were stunning. There is also a great little coffee cart at the walled gardens owned by a very friendly lady"

"I was able to get in for free with my RHS card which was much appreciated. Loved the Flower Drying Shed - not seen one before. This was the biggest walled garden I’ve ever been to so there was lots to see even for the normal £7 admission price and plenty of benches to rest on."
