Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise Holy Trinity Church for its stunning Norman architecture, rich history, and the impressive craftsmanship evident throughout. Many appreciate its role as a community hub, hosting vibrant events like craft fairs and festivals. While generally well-maintained, some note that parking can be challenging.

"Built in the twelfth century this church is every bit as good as similar buildings constructed at the same time. I've said it before and, no doubt, I'll say it again, that the craftspersonship is awesomely awesome. You just don't get the skilled workers these days. Stone, glass, woodwork, rock, paper, scissors. It's all there in spades ♠️."

Bill Robson

"The present church was built around 1150 and originally consisted of a chancel and nave. The chancel was lengthened around the beginning of the 13th century, and a section of the south east wall rebuilt in 1707. In 2016 the sale of a Flemish masterpiece by Quentin Matsys funded a £2m refurbishment of the church. A squint near the altar is claimed to be England's longest. The tower with spire was built around 1480, replacing an older one, and the south wall was largely rebuilt in the 19th century. The church has a ring of eight bells, with the tenor (heaviest bell) weighing 29 long cwt 2 qr 26 lb (3,330 lb or 1,510 kg).
We really love looking at the architecture in places like this, and it didn't disappoint."

"This is a a very large church which is almost on the edge of the River Avon. It's dates back to the date 1150. It is open everyday for visiting. Sunday services take place. The church was modernised to provide a upper gallery and toilets and a modern serving area for drinks ect.

Events also take place in this church. For more information, please check the church website. Information is also available as you step into the church.
The church has wonderful pillars and wooden roof that is spectacular to view. Stained glass windows and other features that are very special.

I have taken pictures of various areas to give you a glimpse of the church inside and out.
The best way to really appreciate this church is to visit."
