What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Paisley Farmers Market for its vibrant atmosphere, high-quality local produce, and artisanal goods. The opportunity to connect with producers and find unique items is a major draw. While generally positive, some mention that it can get crowded, and it's advisable to check vendor attendance beforehand.
"We just spent about four hours at Barnhill Farm — feeding the animals, bouncing on bouncy castles, playing mini golf, riding go-karts, and drawing with chalk on the floor. We also had a really tasty meal that consisted of all kinds of foods produced and farmed locally.
We paid just £5 for our son to access all the activities for as long as he wanted — excellent value. The service at the restaurant was nothing short of fantastic. Staff provided clear communication about short waiting times and made sure we had everything we needed. It was fairly busy, but they had great control thanks to their own booking system used as people arrived.
Prices were fair, and the quality of the food was excellent. I even spoke to the chef, who gave me insight into their food sourcing — which follows a brilliant farm-to-fork ethos.
The market stalls follow the same principles and offer farm-fresh foods of all kinds at equally fair prices for the quality. Everyone we met was friendly and welcoming.
We will most definitely be back again soon for another affordable, fun day out.
As for previous reviews complaining about waiting times, unfriendly staff, or cleanliness — first of all, it’s a farm, not a five-star hotel. So grow up and get over yourself. Approach the place with kindness and patience, and you'll find it’s a fantastic environment with an excellent atmosphere."

"I had a lovely time out with the family at Barnhill Farmshop.
Starting with good parking. Welcoming, friendly, and helpful staff .
My wee one liked feeding the animals, including the cute rabbits.
There were also a few play areas , sand places, and soft play for the kinds.
We got some fresh juice and milk. The burgers and chips were really good.
I would definitely recommend a day with good weather."

"This was a hidden gem for us on a boring Saturday afternoon, we took up the option of buying feed to treat the animals. Food, milk and eggs prices felt very reasonable and just tasted 10x better than shop bought. Be careful feeding, plenty of signs letting you know that the piggies can nip but we found them friendly enough 🐖"
