There is ample parking g at the venue along with a cafeteria at the location that sells books, teas coffee , ice cream and cold drinks cold drinks along with loads of items kids will love. This are is a great dog walking area but dogs must be on a lead when in the area of the trail. There is outdoor seating along with some outdoor seating under cover.
The whole Thorndon country park is a must for young children to explore and run wild and burn off excess energy.
