Reviews Summary

The John Muir Way near North Berwick is highly praised for its beautiful coastal scenery and peaceful, uncrowded atmosphere. While some reviewers noted a preference for more natural trails over tarmac sections and wished for better promotion of John Muir's legacy, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, with many recommending it for its scenic beauty and ease of access.

"Great walk fully recommend"

Robert Bocking

"Beautiful scenery and friendly people along the way. Didn't meet any others walking the trail from start to finish. Lots of tarmac(loss of a star there), and the first stage of Helensburgh REALLY needs to get the downed trees removed (deserves a ding). Id skip that section for sure, as the 3 Lochs Way wasn't very clearly marked. My impression is that the authorities are not excited that the trail is there, so promoting it is not a priority. JM house in Dunbar could have a lot more merch like shirts and stickers, but then again, not many seem to think it worth the effort so why would tourists/hikers to get hyped about it enough to buy? Bummed about the lack of pride surrounding it, but glad I did it."

"Great place for a walk by the sea."
