Ad | Having been a member for over a year now of the National Trust I can honestly say it’s been one of the best investments I’ve made, and some of my days out at Glendurgan, Lanhydrock and Trelissick (all local to me) have been the highlights of my last year down in the South West. A National Trust membership gives you access to over 500 places for just £7.60 per month and, having spent more time...

Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise the beautiful coastal scenery and the opportunity for lovely walks, often comparing it favorably to more famous coastal areas. The presence of an ice cream van and the chance to spot wildlife are also highlights. However, some users find the parking app unreliable, and certain trails can be quite overgrown.

"We had a lovely walk along the beach. We parked in the far car park (National Trust) which you pay by app and it was £5 for yhe while day (regardless of which it is). The tide was out and it was a hot sunny August day, perfect for the a walk with my two little granddaughters (3 and 6). We walked along the beach to the car park with a bus stop and ice cream kiosk. We ate are picnic and them bought a lovely ice cream and walked back along the beach to build. Sandcastles."

Tracey Freeman

"Lovely views with a trig at the top of the stairs by the car park. You can park for free if you're a National trust member, we were also lucky enough to get an ice cream as the van was in his parking space."

Donna S

"Love it here! Visited today and enjoyed a wonderful walk, picnic & ice cream 🍦 ….bit of a let down was the parking app 😣 which didn’t work so we had to drive two miles out & park up in the street & walk back…
Not sure about all these apps, it frustrates us because it really inhibits older people who also want to enjoy these locations but perhaps can’t use smart phones in the same way as younger visitors. We are only in our 40s and we couldn’t get the app to work 🤪
Despite this….we would highly recommend a visit here. Pack your rucksack & enjoy a good hike, plenty of space to explore and enjoy wonderful views. Grassy tracks, benches, coves. Plethora of wildlife, get for twitchers…we loved hearing the skylarks. The ice cream 🍦 van was a welcome relief on a warm day…£3 & was deeee…lish!"
