What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Kirkleatham Walled Garden is praised for its beautiful and colorful gardens, offering a lovely visual experience and a peaceful escape. Visitors appreciate the family-friendly water play area and the convenience of free parking. However, the cafe's service is frequently cited as a significant drawback, with slow speeds and occasional order issues detracting from the overall experience.
"Such a shame that the service in the cafe leaves a lot to be desired. The walled garden is really lovely, the setting is beautiful and it has tremendous potential.
However these days the experience is somewhat disappointing as the cafe service lets them down.
Very slow service, and in fact we left today without ever receiving our order as it had not been passed through to the kitchen.
Unfortunately this is not the only time we have been disappointed. The food when it does arrive is good, but they really are letting themselves down these days."
Philippa Finlay
"The gardens are not being managed by enough staff, the whole place is an untidy mess and lots of areas are unplanted or dead. Not worth £10 for a family ticket. Pies and sausages rolls are warmed in the microwave but cafe is clean and tidy."
Phil Morris
"Garden is packed full of colour and always something different to see each to I visit.
Lovely pumpkin display in the bothy, fresh produce for sale at the entrance."
