How lucky am I to stumble upon the Museum of transport in London on my route down to dover 😅. Not that I have a set route 🤣, but I was still surprised that it was very close to where I was heading. They all loved my machine, but I loved there's even more 😄 I was very inspired and I left with an idea or two 😁 Love you guys 🥰 Don't forget to check my profile

Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise the Oxford Bus Museum as a 'hidden gem' and 'terrific museum' put together with 'obvious abundance of love and care'. The standard of display for buses, Morris cars, and bicycles is highly regarded, and the volunteer-run operation is seen as professional and passionate. The highlight for many is the opportunity to ride in a vintage bus, making it excellent value for money.

"Terrific museum that got put together with an obvious abundance of love and care. Many double decked buses, cars and things to gaze at in awe. Our kids (5 and 3yo) loved it. The highlight was the bus ride in the old bus. Also the Morris part was well put together and quite fun to absorb. We paid 20 pounds for our fam of 4, money well spent."

"This museum is a hidden gem! There is a lot more to see than I expected and the standard of display and presentation is really good. The place is run by volunteers but it is a totally professional operation. Aside from the buses there is a Morris Cars and Historical Bicycles exhibition with both to the same standard as the bus part.

For the ticket price this place is excellent value. You can buy an annual membership which gives you unlimited visits. If you only decide to go for that after your visit the original ticket fee will be refunded. As I live nearby I did just that!"

"I 100% recommend going to the bus museum if you miss the train at Hanborough station. That is the quickest hour I’ve ever spent, this place is fascinating for the neurodivergent and the Neurotypical alike. My 19 year old and I loved it. There’s so much to see and you can either do a quick flyby like us or spend several hours there. They’ve got a café which helps to refill you and I particularly recommend spending a bit of time in the workshop observation platform where you can see people actually mending the buses. What a great museum, a real jewel."
