Reviews Summary
Claydon House is praised for its stunning rococo interiors and the fascinating history of the Verney family, including its connection to Florence Nightingale. Visitors enjoy the charming secret garden and the parkland. Some find the gardens a bit small and note that directions to the house entrance could be clearer.
"National trust property, free entry for members. You enter the main house through reception to the left of the counter. We found this out after wandering around outside trying to find our way in, no one pointed us in the right direction. Some beautiful rooms to view though, with links to Florence Nightingale.
Parking on site and a cafe, few shops in the courtyard area.
No access to part of the gardens though which was disappointing.
Nice afternoon out, not sure I would visit again though."

"Really beautiful house with nice architecture. It’s a hidden gem in Buckinghamshire! The gardens are a bit small though which is the only downside. But worth the visit if you like architecture and beautiful houses."

"Nice place. Some rooms had great detail. I didn't get to see the gardens they had which I do regret. Had they had a gift shop, it would have given the visit a nice ending. I was able to get my visitor's passport stamped so I'm happy about that."
