What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Mundesley Beach is praised as an underrated, beautiful, and scenic spot in Norfolk, offering a more relaxed experience than its popular neighbors. Visitors highlight its sandy shores, dog-friendly sections, and convenient amenities like cafes and parking. While generally loved, some note the presence of stones and rocks mixed with sand.
"Beautiful beach in Norfolk.
Lots of dog friendly parts away from the main promenade.
Lots of cafes and pubs nearby and up on the cliff edge."
Caitlin Broadhurst
"A really lovely spot for a walk and with a couple of cafes just off the beach, somewhere for a drink or light meal after (or before) your exertions.
The beach is generally sandy, intermingled with loose stones and rocks but nothing too much. A concrete path, acts as protection for a line of beach huts and various buildings just off the beach. Good access from a relatively steep path, leads down from the top car park onto the concrete path, this having no steps so could be used for people with wheelchairs.
Dogs are allowed on the beach but be aware that certain restrictions apply at different times of the year. These times and tide information are clearly posted at the top of the cliffs before embarking on your walk.
Good walking and worth at least a stop to stretch you and, maybe, your dogs legs."
Allister Morgan
"An underrated beach in Norfolk. Although not as popular as Cromer or Sheringham, but I personally prefer this sandy beach, offering perhaps better seaside experiences for families - there are shops, cafes, car park next to the beach within 1 minute walk, not so crowded as Cromer or Sheringham, a lovely experience in Mundesley on a sunny day."
