"This is a fantastic museum where you can get up close with everything to do with railways. This museum has two large sheds with locomotives and rolling stock of all shapes and sizes from the steam age to modern day. You can learn to operate points as well as see and explore a range of locomotives. It’s well set out with plenty to explore for all ages. There’s a third shed where you can see some of the ongoing restoration work. We had a fantastic few hours exploring this museum and highly recommend."

"Great railway museum not far from Edinburgh. Especially loved the royal mail traveling post office. They had some great exhibitions here and lots to look around. It’s a shame that the Bo’ness railway was shut when I visited as that would have added lots and lots more to see. A great afternoon for £6/7"
