What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Newton Beach is praised as a lovely, expansive, and dog-friendly destination with interesting rock pools and scenic coastal paths. While parking can be expensive and the car park is in poor condition, the natural beauty and peaceful atmosphere make it a worthwhile visit for many.
"Lovely dog friendly beach, nice stretch of sandy beach with rocky areas. Plenty of interesting rock pools For the dogs to explore. Easy to get down to the beach via a ramp. Turned left and walked for ages, plenty of other dog walkers enjoying the beach too. No facilities at the beach or the car park, not that this mattered, brought all we needed."

"Great family and dog friendly beach. One end has rock pools and more rugged feel, great for exploring the other way is endless Sandy beach that eventually meets up with the river separating it from Ogmore by Sea. There is a great path along the top of beach leading to Trecco bay, great for anyone with limited mobility or in a wheelchair. At peak times there is an ice cream van, but no other facilities as such. Newton village has two excellent pubs, a chippy van and a little further are shops. Beautiful anytime of the year, well worth a visit."

"Great beach for walking an energetic dog.
Unfortunately they've doubled the price for parking in last year or so. For that you still get the huge potholes which fill up with water and they've also taken away the bins at the end so not sure what the 100% increase in price actually pays for.
Apart from that, if you go at the right time you can get some great views while you walk."
