Framing day at Norman Park. Every stud, brace, and truss is going in with intention. Watching it all take shape from the ground up never gets old, especially when the crane rolls in. #DJBuiltHomes #FramingStage #CustomHomesBrisbane #NormanParkBuild #BuildingInProgress

Reviews Summary

Norman Park is praised for its beautiful, spacious parks and extensive walking trails, offering a peaceful escape with opportunities to see local wildlife. The suburb is also noted for its active community, particularly through events like parkrun. However, some residents express concern over potential development plans impacting green spaces.

"The park was massive, with huge open spaces and loads of different paths, which allowed you to explore the area as you pleased. There were sheep, bulls, and cows around the park, grazing peacefully. I'd like to say they were very friendly and just minded their own business. It's really nice to just be able to be around the wildlife whilst enjoying the breathless views.

If you follow the two dedicated paths, which offers a 5-mile walk around the park or a shorter pathway, which was just over 2 miles, We elected for the 5-mile walk, but it was more like an 8-mile walk as we de-toured a few times and ultimately lost the trail 😄. But had loads of fun climbing up and down hill. Ended up doing just over 18k of steps, and the legs felt like jelly and sore for 2 days. Really recommend that if you're ever in the area, check the weather as you may need a jacket as it gets quite windy, ensure to bring some water, some snacks and enjoy the space."

"A beautiful green space adjoining Hayes Farm. Woods to explore, huge green field for walking, kids to play or a game of footie. Lots of dog walkers and joggers. It's awful that Berkeley homes intend to build 2,000 homes on both the farm area and some of the green space as well. find the petition on line (change.org), contact your local Councillor or attend the public meeting at the football club on 18th November from 3pm til 7pm. Pls don't let this go ahead."

Marion McHardy

"Huge park popular with joggers, dog walkers and cyclists doing long circuits on the well paved paths. Good for kids on scooters too. The grass is for football much of the time, and it can get crazy busy some evenings. Other times you can have the whole place almost to yourself. Free parking at both ends of the park."
