What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the Lincolnshire Road Transport Museum as a fascinating, volunteer-run gem with an impressive collection of vintage vehicles, especially buses. Many highlight the joy of boarding the buses and the free vintage rides offered on event days. While the cafe and toilet facilities can be stretched during busy periods, the overall experience is highly recommended for its engaging exhibits and enthusiastic staff.
"A volunteer run museum showcasing a substantial collection of road transport mainly from the local area with a particular emphasis on buses, however, also a collection of cars, vans, and cycles. Access allowed to the exhibition area and the workshops all for a small entrance fee of Β£5. Free on site parking."

"Absolutely fascinating. Very busy, lots of families, great to see children so excited and interested in these old vehicles. The museum is larger than I had envisaged, with much more than vehicles here. Road signs, photographs, badges, vehicles waiting to be renovated, an AA box, rooms kitted out as old workshops .... and on it goes. Bus rides all day, always full - there must have been 4 or 5 out constantly. We went on the open topped bus, a good 20 - 30 minutes ride. Fabulous. Lots of enthusiastic volunteers, lot's of people reminiscing. The cafe didn't really keep up, too many visitors I think. Long queues at times, and most definitely not enough toilets .. but that was acceptable given the huge numbers there. I really hope people donated generously, this was a free event, even the bus rides were free (I personally think there should have been a small charge, at least to cover the fuel used on each run), given the amount to see and do I would wholly recommend a visit to this amazing museum. There are various 'events' on during the year - see their website and don't miss out !!!!"

"Took my elderly father to bank holiday event.
Plenty of old busses and a few cars and motorbikes.
Member of staff was welcoming and informative.
Old photos and memorabilia around the museum to look at and evoke memories for dad who has mixed dementia.
Had a cup of tea at cafe before leaving. Had a nice couple of hours visit."
