What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Offa's Dyke Path for its historical significance, beautiful scenery, and friendly staff at visitor centers. The opportunity to walk along the ancient dyke and experience the England-Wales border is a major draw. However, some find parking limited and facilities like toilets occasionally out of order.
"This is such an interesting place. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and the little cafe is brilliant. Walking down the path to the dyke, we came across the river Teme catching sight of a big crayfish and a Dipper. The parking at the centre was very limited so we had to park down the road at a short stay that only gave us two hours, so we didn't actually have a chance to go on to the dyke, so we'll have to come back one day."

"Great place to break a journey, and to learn about the history of this often overlooked ancient structure. Cake, coffee and more in the cafe, as well as lots of gifts including those for The Offa's Dyke Path. Lots of information and diagrams, and a few exhibits on the archaeological sites. Then, you go outside, where there is a huge fun play area suitable for all ages of children. A short looping walk takes you to a short, secluded section of the Dyke, and there is even a small bridge nearby where you can stand with one foot in Wales and one in England. Back at the centre, some of the toilets needed fixing, but they functioned. The staff could not have been friendlier. Great place to visit."

"Some parking onsite. Informative displays inside centre and clear signs to direct you to the Dyke and the Offa's Dyke Path too. Beautiful place."
