Reviews Summary

Visitors praise Newark Park as a hidden gem, highlighting its fascinating history, beautiful gardens, and stunning countryside views. The friendly and knowledgeable staff are frequently mentioned, enhancing the visitor experience. While the rural access roads can be challenging, the overall consensus is that it's a wonderful place for a day out, offering a peaceful escape with plenty to explore for all ages.

"It's in a lovely spot. And for me, as I use crutches and a mobility scooter, it was great because they have trampers. Trampers are off-road mobility scooters which I hired for Β£3, there are other options. I zoomed around quite happily.
I went into the house but couldn't go upstairs, they had a book with photos and info of the upstairs which I could peruse though."

"This place exceeded our expectations. There was far more to see inside than we first thought. The grounds are amazing with some lovely walks down to the folly and amazing views all around. Lovely little snack shack serving hot and cold drinks and food.
Well worth a visit."

Tracy Hughes

"This is one of the most picturesque National Trust locations I’ve ever visited. The scenery is absolutely stunning, and there’s plenty of parking available. However, the road leading to the estate is quite narrow, so take care when driving.

The only downside was the communication from staff. I was told there would be a basement tour at 1:30 pm and that everyone was welcome to join. I had lunch and arrived on time, only to be told that a ticket was required. There were no signs or information about needing a ticket, nor did the staff member who mentioned the tour say anything about it. Luckily, I live locally and can visit again, but I would have been really disappointed if I had travelled a long way and missed out."
