Visitors consistently praise the Palace Theatre Mansfield for its friendly and helpful staff, its welcoming atmosphere, and its ability to host impressive shows that rival larger venues. It's considered a local treasure, particularly for family-friendly events like the pantomime. Some minor drawbacks include limited legroom and a lack of air conditioning on warmer days, which can affect comfort.
"Although not much to see here during the day, the temple and the surrounding park which overlooks the Royal Palace, becomes a focal point for crowds who gather in the evening to watch the sunset and party along to the buskers."

"This lovely smaller theatre is a treasure. It has wonderfully friendly helpful staff. Caters well for disability, nothing is to much trouble. Always a treat with exceptional shows appealing to a wide arrange of people . The atmosphere never fails to delight, it is a lovely building with the museum attached. It is well worth the visit. I have seen many main stream shows here without all the hype and crowds, although attendance is always high. My children have seen magical, heart warming stories unfold ,and their faces say it all. This is a very special theatre that is up there competing with much larger, more expensive theatres and holding its own beautifully with ease. Highly recommend a visit ,especially at Christmas π"
