"Absolute gorgeous place to visit! Some really beautiful sights and such a pleasant place to walk around. Came here on a date and honestly couldn’t have asked for anything better."

"Great castle. Parking near and lots more at the bottom of the hill in the North York Moors Railway car park (also worth a visit while you're here). Castle took us about an hour and a half. Could be longer. Lovely on a nice day and very helpful staff."
The Senior Cat
"We initially missed the entrance for the car park as the Satnav had taken us up past the train station route - the castle has a small car park (prob for about 7 or 8 cars). Thankfully it had some toilets (located at the car park).
The castle itself is mainly ruins, but there is a few parts of it to wonder in (and up) and take a look around, and the kids enjoyed running up and down! Probably could have done with a bit more info on history and what's happened there over the years, but it was a nice place to stop off."
