"Great museum! Very informative and was great to meet veteran master sergeant Hale who gave a great talk on the control room and how everything operated when it was operational, so much to take in.
Staff are really welcoming and so kind, food was really nice and highly recommend a banana milkshake on the way out. Planes outside are in great condition, even some of the ones waiting for restoration (added tour for them). Highly recommend!!"

"This is another “ Must See” attraction for all connected with aviation during the Cold War period. Although I have made a visit to the museum a number of years ago, this time was enhanced by the ability to make a “paid for” group visit to the restoration HAS site on a different area of the airfield.
This is a very worthwhile experience for any enthusiast to visit. Enhanced by the exceptionally experienced volunteers who were eager to share their knowledge.
The main site housing the “bunker” remains an outstanding treasure trove of memorabilia, and that’s just the volunteers !!
To round off, the Diner which is part of the entrance is fantastic value and again enhanced by the friendly and communicative staff volunteers.
Understandably, this venue is only open on a condensed period of opening dates.
Do check and then go if you can. A very informative experience awaits in respect of an exceptionally important part of our defensive history."
