"Queens park is my Grandsons favourite park. It has The best cafe ( dog friendly) selling everything from breakfasts to ice creams ( Mr whippy π) the Cafe provides toilet facilities at the back.
2 Playgrounds one just for the little ones aswell as outdoor gym equipment.
A fabulous lake to walk around whilst feeding the ducks, ( tip, buy your duck food at the Cafe its cheaper than the machine by the lake and you get more).
If you don't fancy eating in the Cafe then get a takeaway, there's a huge field with a purpose built concrete all weather stage where the children can perform for you till their hearts content while you sit at a picnic table and enjoy your lunch.
There are Tennis courts and a fabulous bowling green with benches all the way round to leisurely sit and enjoy the beautifully kept Gardens."
Janet Hornibrook
"Good little park with plenty to do for kids with the play areas on show practically on entry with a small shop allowing you to get refreshments on a warm day.
If your more inclined to do a spot of bird watching, the boating lake is the place for you! You can easily spot geese, goslings, ducks, the occasional swan and herons if you look closely.
They also have a bird feed dispenser which takes contactless payments, so, if you have children with you you can give into their demands and pressure and allow them to feed the ducks.
If none of this interests you then its always a nice scenic place to go for a walk around a lake on a sunny day."
