Reviews Summary
Salomons Estate is praised for its beautiful grounds and the free, informative museum. Visitors enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and the afternoon tea experience. However, some accommodation in specific buildings is noted as basic, and accessibility can be an issue in certain areas.
"I had the pleasure of photographing a beautiful wedding at Salomons Estate, and it was such a memorable experience. The grounds are without doubt my favourite part, stretching out into the distance with views of trees as far as you can see. Photographing the couple outside was a real highlight, the setting creating such beautiful, natural images. The whole venue has a wonderful atmosphere, elegant, warm, and full of history. The venue staff were incredibly attentive and helpful throughout the day, making everything run smoothly and creating such a welcoming experience. The food was also outstanding, easily one of the best meals I’ve ever had at a wedding. My personal favourite space is the theatre room, where fairy lights above the main floor create a starry ceiling that feels truly magical. Salomons Estate is a perfect wedding venue that offers everything in one place, with beautiful scenery and character."

"First visit to Salomons Estate for the Festive Fair. Badly Signposted to Find The Actual Estate!!
The House is a Magnificent building inside & Out. Beautiful architecture & a fabulous sweeping staircase.
The ‘Fair’ itself, was a bit of a let down sadly.
It is a maze of corridors, again Not signposted as to what was going on & where.
The stalls were set up in various locations, several random small rooms, & 2 larger spaces. A lot of the same/ similar type of products, repeated & expensive.
It was advertised’for All’ & Workshops & Activities for children.. So I took my very excited Granddaughter along, who was really disappointed & desperately wanted to search every room for Christmas activities/workshops etc but there was only 1 ‘workshop’ Which was Pelvic floor control!
We did manage to find a stall that sold beautiful soft teddy’s (bunny’s with a crown on!) which satisfied a need to buy, & it was sensibly priced.
The Staff didn’t have a clue as to what was on & where!!
There were 4 ‘hot food’ food vendors &!a bakery stall outside & a Mediterranean market stall selling Nuts, feta, sunblushed tomatoes & olives in every colour.. as well as turkish delight & Baklava’s- All delicious. I purchased a lunchbox (think Take away container x 2 in size) of mixed olives, tomatoes, pickled shallots & pickled garlic; I was shocked & embarrassed by the cost at £22!!! 😳
The Main Highlight for Us was seeing Santa (The Best ‘Real’ Santa you’ll EVER see!!😍) wandering through the Building engaging with everyone & stopping for photos (at no charge)!!
I won’t be hurrying back to this event, sadly."

"Just back from a 2 night cottage break and it was perfect. A young brunette girl checked us in and out and was extremely polite, friendly and courteous. We stayed in Rose Cottage which was immaculate and extremely comfortable. The grounds are breathtaking and peaceful. Will definitely and extremely satisfied with everything."
