"Had a fantastic day there for the migration watch. Very helpful staff and a wonderful location"

"What a wonderfully peaceful place to visit for a walk and to watch the birds. The volunteer at the Field Centre was helpful and knowledgeable, and gave us a good walking route to follow. It was an incredibly peaceful place with zero traffic noise apart from the odd car that passed along the toll road. The Scrape was my favourite area, a lake with two well equipped and comfortable hides. The other bird watchers were friendly and happy to share their knowledge. You have to pay £1 for the toll road (£5 if you want to continue along it to Deal), if you are not a member. Will definitely be back!"

Alison Webster

"A bird observatory with an extensive nature reserve attached, although not as one continuous area. Well worth a visit during migration. Has a small shop and did cups of tea. Parking for about 16 cars(?). You do have to pay to get onto the private road to the Observatory but all details are on their website"
