"We had a fantastic time exploring the Severn Valley Railway with our Freedom of the Line tickets. Even though the line to Bridgnorth was temporarily closed due to a landslip, it didn’t affect the experience – the journey through the beautiful Severn Valley countryside was absolutely stunning.
We especially loved stopping off at Bewdley and Arley – both stations are full of charm, and the scenery is picture-perfect for photography lovers. At Highley, we walked down to The Ship Inn by the river and enjoyed a great pint with a view. The trains themselves – whether steam or diesel – were beautifully maintained, and the staff and volunteers were friendly, helpful, and clearly passionate about what they do.
This was a relaxing, nostalgic and genuinely joyful way to spend the day – great for nature lovers, fans of vintage rail, or anyone who just wants to slow down and enjoy the journey. Highly recommended!"
