What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Shakespeare North Playhouse for its intimate, in-the-round stage and the high quality of its professional productions. The friendly staff and reasonably priced refreshments add to the positive experience, making it a beloved local gem. Some note that the seating can be a bit snug, but this is generally seen as a minor point in an otherwise excellent theatrical setting.
"First experience at the theatre it was great. The venue was small but intimate. The suppprt staff were very supportive and recognised those individuls who need help. The play was light, funny and very interactive with the audience getting involved at every opportunity. A Memerable experience. Thank you for wonderful experience."

"I didn't expect much when our Northern friends took us to Prescot for a staging of The Tempest. But seeing the venue was enough to put my assumptions of makeshift community theatre to rest. It's a top-notch building and professional space, every bit as impressive as anything in the West End. Same goes for the performance we witnessed, with The HandleBars company — one of the tightest, most creative theatre shows I've ever seen. Highly recommended."

"Recently saw The Tempest here.. an amazing show with friendly staff too. Fairly cheap tickets for such a good show right at the front, about £30 each. Can’t recommend this enough!
One small note: the seating can be quite snug so just keep that in mind, my partner is 6’5” and was slightly uncomfortable but for most should be fine"
