What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Siblyback Lake for its beautiful, flat, and shaded walking path around the lake, perfect for a leisurely 1.5-hour stroll. The lakeside cafe is a hit for its delicious homemade cakes, especially the cinnamon bun. However, some find the abundance of signs and rules excessive, and the parking payment system has caused confusion and fines for some.
"Beautiful walk around the lake, flat and easy, with plenty of wooded shade along the way. Average walking pace, pausing to admire the views was 1.5 hours.
Lovely cafe visit at the end of our walk with gorgeous homemade cakes ... highly recommend the cinnamon bun.
Toilets available too, but not very pleasant.... but free."

"Nice place, car park not too pricey, well maintained path. But, feels like OTT on signs and rules etc. Dogs on leads annoys me, no need. Feels like a council led committee have discussed the nutes too much, meanwhile I saw at least 10 discarded coffee cups from the cafe polluting the greenery.
Doesn't need rules and signs, it's the countryside"

"I got a parking ticket for£60 because we parked in the cafe car park. ITS A SCAM!!! You don't pay for parking you pay for from the moment the camera gets you at the entrance to the moment you leave (i never saw any clear signs saying such either). They don't allow ANY time to find a space, the machine, queue, work out how to pay, unload and then on leaving reload.... it's a total joke.... go somewhere else that actually wants people to visit"
