Reviews Summary

Guests consistently praise Roch Castle for its unique historic charm, stunning panoramic views from the rooftop lounge, and exceptional breakfast. The peaceful and cozy atmosphere makes it a highly recommended special getaway. However, some note that rooms can be small and the castle's many stairs require good mobility.

"My mother and I stayed for 2 nights at the end of a week-long trip to Wales for a mother-daughter vacation. It was the highlight of our trip, and my only regret is that we didn't have more time here. I honestly was not ready to leave this gorgeous area of Wales and this truly magnificent accommodation. It was quiet, snug and cozy, with panoramic views from the glass-walled rooftop sitting room. It's within easy reach of Solva and St Davids, and Newgale Beach is close and so beautiful. You will not regret staying at this hotel, provided you're up for some stair climbing (my mom is 83 and she handled it like a pro). Thank you for such a great stay!"

Jill Sheeler-Shenk

"It was an amazing experience staying at Roch Castle for 2 night and we had it all to ourselves for my partner's special birthday. The staff were so very welcoming and helpful. Look forward to going back with a group of friends and have the castle to ourselves again."

Sayaka Thalia Carndorf

"Roch is really cool, but travelers should know it is remote (although there are places to eat within driving distance) and the rooms are really small. The service was great, however, and I really enjoyed the amenities provided in the lounge as well as the breakfast. It’s certainly a different experience and it is really cool to stay in a castle. If you are interested in castles and a relaxed atmosphere, I highly recommend. I would not take a child here or anyone that isn’t pretty mobile."
