"Such a beautiful place. There are three lakes with trails all the way round. Particularly beautiful in April when all the bluebells are out there is benches nicely placed for perfect view spots. At the far end of the second lake there is a trail that goes into the woods very beautiful with bluebells and a river. Very popular with dog walkers and families fishing is permitted There is a free , large carpark . Highly recommended for a day visit."

"Great local walk with a car park if needed. We walked here from Haigh Hall along the canal through the woods at the back of Wigan Golf Course off Arley Lane. Nice and peaceful and a few different variants of the same walk to mix it up a little and good wildlife. Unfortunately no café or anything like that for a coffee or snack but worth a trip all the same"

"This is a beautiful walk definitely come here again paths are very thin , but have to go single file if there are other people walking ahead , parking shuts at 4pm on weekends as the gates will be locked so head down early worth a visit"
