"One of the most enjoyable castles. You can get the audio guide, but after we walked through the gate we found they had free walking guided tours. It was WONDERFUL. Steven was very knowledgeable and made many suggestions for us to see after his tour was done. There are also many locations with costumed guides stationed in certain areas. They stay in character no matter what. It was really great. Oh...and don't miss Queen Anne Garden. It's amazing."

"Fantastic Medieval Castle
Stirling Castle is probably one of the largest & best preserved Castle in Scotland. It is really nice and well worth your time to come and visit. It was actually easier to access than we thought even with the car.
The views are also great from the top of the hill.
Highly recommended from us."

While the walk from the castle to the monument can be substantial, visitors can opt for a bus or even hire a bike.
