What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the Stonehaven Open Air Pool, praising its unique art deco charm, heated seawater, and fun atmosphere, especially during 'Moonlight Swims'. While the pool itself is a hit, some reviews mention the toilets could be better maintained.
"Great place. Nice people working there. Clean enough. Water nice and warmish. Just remember it's sea water. Nice food. Didn't have to wait for it too long. Toilets not too good. Very old and messy.
I am fully aware of the fact that this building is listed and very old🙄. It's beautiful. It doesn't mean toilets have to be dirty and messy throughout the day. Apart from that lovely place and great fun.😉 That is why I gave 5 stars 😜"

"First visit after the pool re-opened for the 2025 summer season.

"What a treasure in Stonehaven! Great old style lido,.sun terraces, cafe onsite, modern showers etc but cool old style changing rooms. There are also water Zumba classes, moonlight swims, a chute/slide at one end, lane swimming some days and plenty of lifeguards on hand. You need £1 coins for the lockers. I had a flask of tea on me and nobody blinked. Family can also pay to be spectators instead of swim."
