What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
SWG3 is celebrated as a versatile and vibrant venue, particularly praised for its impressive street art, diverse food offerings, and energetic atmosphere during events. While many enjoy the intimate gig spaces and friendly staff, some note issues with intense lighting, overly loud sound systems, and a peculiar, potentially hazardous toilet design.
"Great intimate venue, however lighting a bit intense, so blinding at times looking at the stage of the performer was impossible and speaker volume just ever so slightly too loud causing distortion, but those two things have nothing to do with the venue, more the light and sound engineers that evening. Not sure on drinks prices as never got one. Parking is a free for all but managed to find somewhere with only a short distance to walk."

"Visited 6th July 2025 for Barklove, first time visiting. I was really surprised how big it is deceiving looking. Pity with usual Scottish Summer ☀️. Only criticism is the toilets, they are on ground level yet once opening two doors you need to walk up stairs. Most stupid design and dangerous. If someone fell going down the stairs, the only way for help to in would require removal of the door. As stairs are right as you walk in the door."

Navigating SWG3: Practicalities for Attendees
Parking is another point of consideration. While free parking is available, it operates on a 'first-come, first-served' basis and can become quite congested. For this reason, many visitors recommend using public transport or ride-sharing services to avoid the hassle of finding a spot. Additionally, the design of the restrooms has been noted as unusual, featuring stairs that might pose a challenge for some. Always check event-specific details regarding sound and lighting, as these can vary and have been mentioned as intense or overly loud in some reviews.
