"A great afternoon trip and well worth the drive. Some amazing views coming into the town with ample parking outside of the pedestrian areas. A lovely walk along the river brings you to several waterside pubs and views of a brilliant residential castle. A great play area for children accompanied by wide open spaces for dog walkers and sportspeople, including a launching area for kyaks, make for a brilliant place to relax with the family. Very tame wildlife including brave swans and many swallows give the park the undeniable feel of being right in the middle of nature.
