"We cycled aprox 12 mile stretch of the canal to the Plume and Feathers Pub sitting alongside. Passing several canal boats beautifully decorated and houses whoβs gardens back onto the canal gave us a snippet of what canal life is all about .. βtaking your time and enjoying nature β and a small piece of history to top it all as there are still some old pottery kilns standing along the canal providing a hint of the towns heritage.. just beautiful π"

"If you want to be healthy and bike to work, there is only one route to go... down the canal, well at least it avoids near certain death on the A-roads from some Neanderthal idiots who actually think it's fine to mow down cyclists because "we don't pay road tax". Anyway off topic here a bit... the Canal is nice in places (Like stone and trentham area) and got tramps with tents in other places (Like Hanley park) so depends what you want really. Do you like tramps or not?"
