Yesterday we visited the Weald and Downland Living Museum @wealddownmuseum It was beautiful, educational, interactive and a really enjoyable day out. Ruby adores learning about the old toys and giving them a go. There is so much stunning countryside to walk around and it’s kept pristine. The cafe looks over a gorgeous lake and had super tasty food. PR Visit @brightwordpr #wealdanddownlandm...

Recommendations on 3 day itinerary with base in Arundel

After a request for recommendations on a prior post, my family of 5 (kids 9, 13, 17) are leaning towards staying in Arundel for 4 nights in July. We'll be renting a car and driving down after a week in London. I was thinking about a stop (detour) at Hever Caste on the way.…

"It is 55 years since last visiting and it has certainly changed! We had a really enjoyable 3 hours viewing a wide range of houses and other rural buildings. I cannot recommend a visit more highly and seeing the Repair Shop barn was a real bonus!"

"Despite the cold and wet weather the event was packed. Loads of stalls and food outlets. I purchased at least half of my Christmas presents plus some for myself too. The repair shop was open to view too which was exciting. It is a lot smaller than it looks on TV. Absolutely worth the trip!"

Steve Bunnage

"When we visited the UK, we definitely wanted to visit this site. For those who don't know, it is associated with the filming of The Repair Shop and in fact there was filming happening whilst we were there. A fantastic collection of historical buildings that can't be missed. Well worth the visit even if you have to come from London. Well recommended. We also decided to take lunch at the cafe and weren't disappointed. A+++"
