Visitors consistently praise Milton Keynes Museum for its engaging exhibits and exceptional value, particularly for families. The enthusiastic volunteers are a major highlight, bringing history to life with their demonstrations and kind interactions. "Milton Keynes Museum is such a wonderful place for children and adults alike.
We’ve taken our three little ones here almost weekly (upon their request!), and they love every minute of it.
Such a wide variety of exhibits and interactive displays and activities would be enough for most, but when you couple this with the outstanding volunteers that work here week round, it’s hard not to come back!
Huge thank you to all the wonderful volunteers for bringing the exhibits to life and for being so kind and attentive in the tea room!
We cannot recommend the Milton Keynes Museum enough"

"Wow. MK Museum surpassed all my expectations. What unbelievable value for money for a SAHM and toddler.
I have taken my two year old son here twice in two weeks and he's not stopped talking about it. The highlight so far has been the working water wheel which we didn't know was there until we visited.
Thank you to Paul and Diane (Thursday crew) for being so kind and helpful, showing my young son the music boxes and pianola, Ben (Wednesday) for the sewing machine and shoe polishing machine demonstrations, and John (Wednesday) for the many many(!) walks through the farming hall. What an absolute joy you all have been - so encouraging, making my son's visit so hands on and educational. He's already asking to come back!
The only thing that's been a sticky point is that some of the volunteers have different opinions/ rules on what young children are allowed to engage with and touch."

"Thoroughly enjoyed the visit yesterday to the museum. Initially thought it was a smaller site but there’s so much to see.
The lady on reception was fantastic. Approachable, knowledgeable & very compassionate."
