It's seen as a valuable and accessible site for understanding medieval Winchester, though some note that parts are secured due to deterioration. "A very interesting piece of history which is only a few minutes walk from the cathedral and in fact is located right next to the current estate of the Bishop.
Sadly as with time, parts of the site has now been secured off due to natural deterioration. But if you love history, I would suggest paying a quick visit to the ruins, the boards arounds the site can give you a good idea of what it was once like."
