"It was a very hot day when I went and when queuing in the carpark for the minibus to the gardens there was no shade from the sun, and nowhere to sit down. Also when queuing for the minibus home there was also nowhere with shade or the sit down.
In terms of the gardens they're very beautiful with a huge variety of styles, colours, and atmospheres. There is so much to explore! While the map was beautifully illustrated, I wish that there were paths shown on the map, as we got a little lost in the woods around the birdhide.
I didn't spot any information boards around, which would have been appreciated to understand the type of planting and the history.

The large glasshouse that can be opened using massive hydraulic pistons is spectacular, and the gardens offer a large number of places to sit and view a range beautiful vistas"
