What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise The Bear Golf Course for its challenging design and beautiful scenery, calling it a 'phenomenal track' and a 'beautiful course.' However, some reviews mention significant issues with slow play and a lack of responsiveness from staff regarding course conditions or incidents like theft.
"Great golf course but TOUGH. Clubhouse is nice, plenty options in there. Definitely would suggest playing. But let me warn you the bear is tough. A lot of carry water. Tricky landings. Just an FYI it’s going to be tough but nice."
Doug Carpenter
"Great friend had clubs stolen on day 1 of a golf trip, if that’s not the worst of it, we had two foursomes ahead of us that played as an 8some the majority of the day, even though we had expressed concerns to the so called Ranger, “shitty like this everyday “, his response, great and thanks for the help. Back to the stolen clubs…. Security video clearly shows a Yahoo in a truck pick up the clubs from the Bag Stand and drive off, with no back license plate, probably not his first time.
Grand Traverse has done nothing to help replace my friends clubs, bag, shoes and accessories. GRTR, make it right, your guest expect a better experience, Do Better"
Kevin Cotter
"We had a great time! It is a beautiful course! All employees were super helpful. The drink/snack lady was super friendly and came around often. There are a lot more port-a-potty than a lot of courses we have been to. (Thankfully!)"
