"I spent enjoyable 3 days two nights at this resort with a dozen other guys on a golf outing. We stayed in the condos near the golf pro shop. My room was well appointed with modern furniture full kitchen and good size bathroom. It was clean and in good shape. The mattress was quite good and the pillows, too. There was an insane amount of channels on the TV but I only watched one, the PGA golf channel (duh). As a group we liked all three courses. A lot of interesting holes and very fast greens especially on the Wolverine and the Bear. Pin placement was tricky but not unfair. If there were any complaints it was the grill at the pro shop menu was limited, and the quality only OK for the price. The service was good not outstanding. I would stay here and play here again."

The Good:
Our room was spacious and clean, as was the bathroom. The views of the golf courses from the property were stunning, and the beach and pools were a definite highlight — well-maintained and perfect for relaxing. The staff throughout the resort were consistently friendly and helpful. We also had fun at the on-site arcade, though it was a bit on the pricey side.
The Not-So-Good:
While the room itself was nice, the overall feel of the hotel was quite dated, especially considering the resort's high-end reputation. The hotel tower stands out — a tall, modern glass building that feels oddly out of place amid the surrounding natural beauty.
Unfortunately, the food was a letdown across the board. We tried several of the dining options and found the meals underwhelming. The $20 breakfast buffet, in particular, felt overpriced for what it offered.

"Our stay at Grand Traverse Resort and spa was absolute perfection from start to finish. A true five-star Michigan escape. The front desk made our check in seamless and offered fantastic local recommendations. We stayed in the tower, our room was spotless and beautifully appointed, with a breathless view of Grand Traverse Bay. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the decor made it feel cozy and luxurious. We spent our time relaxing by the pool. For dinner we ate at a on-site restaurant The Grille a culinary delight and our server was excellent. For breakfast we ate at Aerie on the 16th floor in the tower for their Sunday Brunch. Incredible menu delicious brisket! We will definitely be back. This is a must visit for anyone seeking a relaxation retreat in Michigan."
