"My favorite place for local mountain biking. Many trail combinations for mountain biking and hiking. It never gets old and there is terrain for all levels. Open space staff was friendly and attentive when I purchased a season parking pass for $30.00. There's plenty of parking available. Summer hours are from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm. It is common to see wildlife including deer, rabbits, roadrunners, birds of prey, and snakes. You may see an occasional bobcat, if you keep your eyes open. There is also picnic areas there with tables and shade structures. You could rent areas for large parties if you desire."

"Beautiful claret layered mountains holding cacti, brush, and trees. Hiking here is a perfect way to spend an afternoon--beautiful sunset views looking west towards Albuquerque. The trail is fairly level for a good while. There is plenty of space and eventual rising elevation if you'd like a more physically intense hike."

Try both of you love the outdoors and visit ABQ. In EGOS, surrounded by the granite pinnacles of the Sandia Front, you can choose from multiple rambles in nearly level high desert, or tackle the Pino trail to the crest low point, and the D Baca trail which ends in a steep climb to the 1955 TWA crash Site. Both afford complete tours of all the varied montane habitats the Sandias can offer. Take a picnic to enjoy in the well kept ramadas with nice restrooms nearby too."
