I especially liked their exhibit "Allen - Then and Now," which looked at photos of downtown Allen and the blocks around the museum and compared it to what the area looks like today. It was a great way to see how Allen has transformed through the decades from a small town centered around the railroad to a thriving city in the DFW metroplex. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that I feel the locomotive and caboose on display outside the museum could use some descriptive signs around them. They are nice to look at and walk around, but I didn't seen any plaques stating what they were, where they came from, or what their connection to Allen is. Otherwise, this was an excellent museum with very nice staff."
