What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about Grand Targhee's abundant powder, stunning Teton views, and friendly, laid-back atmosphere, making it a favorite for those seeking a less crowded mountain experience. While the on-site dining and lodging can be pricey, the exceptional natural beauty and quality of the ski and bike terrain make it a highly recommended destination.
"The perfect small resort! A cafe, restaurant, and bar. Pool, hot tub, gym, massages, small store! There is a lift that will take you up the mountain . Its 2000ft above the already 8000 feet you are standing on in the resort. The view is amazing from the top! Or you can take your bike up and ride down! It really is a great place."

"We, as a family, came to Grand Targhee to ride the chair lift up to the top to see the view of the rugged Teton peaks from the backside. Even with a little haze, it was a spectacular sight. They even have a little cabin they turned into an animal education center with animal skulls and firs. We found that to be a bonus. They had 3 restaurants open up there; one being a bar with some tasty food. We made an afternoon of it and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves."

"We had an amazing time at Grand Targhee Mountain Bike Park, and the absolute highlight was the time we spent with the guides—especially Ethan. My 6-year-old rode with Ethan twice and hasn’t stopped talking about it since! Ethan was incredibly kind, patient, and made my son feel confident, capable, and most of all—like a real mountain biker. He struck the perfect balance of fun and instruction, and it was clear he genuinely cared about making the experience memorable.
We also had the pleasure of riding with Dave and Tanner, who were both fantastic—super knowledgeable and great with riders of all levels. The trails are incredible, the scenery is unbeatable, and the guides made it an experience we’ll never forget. If you’re visiting Grand Targhee with kids, ask for Ethan—he’s amazing!"
